About the Role

Due to continued growth and demand for our services, AME are currently looking for experienced self-motivated individuals to join our Inspection Team based in Kalgoorlie to conduct Registered Plant inspections. This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that is well regarded within industry. This is a residential based position and candidates must reside in Kalgoorlie. 

Remuneration: $100,000 - $140,000 pa plus superannuation

Remuneration package will depend on individual experience, certifications, and skill set.

Task & responsibilities

  • Perform Inspections, Testing and Audits on mobile and fixed plant.
  • Produce high quality detailed reports related to Inspections, Testing and Audits.
  • Use specialist inspection and test equipment, gauges and other commonly used measuring devices as required in the performance of inspections, NDT and auditing. 
  • Review of engineering design documentation, MDRs and plant registration documentation.
  • Project management of inspection, auditing and engineering compliance consulting projects.
  • Use knowledge and skills, from qualifications and experience, to assess compliance of plant and machinery in accordance with relevant WA legislation and Standards.
  • Provide technical support, documentation and advice related to compliance, industry best practices, and optimal use of plant & machinery.

Qualification & experience

Applicants must possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Mechanical Engineering qualifications
  • NDT UT - Level 2  
  • To understand and have a thorough knowledge of all applicable Australian Standards, Work Health Safety Act 2020, Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022, Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022.
  • An effective communicator, both in written and verbal communications.
  • High attention to detail and strong report writing skills.
  • An effective time manager and committed to achieving deadlines.
  • Adaptable with working hours.
  • Must have unrestricted right to work in Australia.
  • Current driving licence.

Preferred Criteria

  • API510 or AICIP
  • NDT (MT, PT, EC -  Level 2)
  • At least one year of full-time experience in plant inspections, testing, and / or compliance assessments in mining, or similar positions.
