We are currently seeking experienced HME Boilermakers to join our dynamic team. This is a hands-on role suited for trade-qualified professionals with a solid background in heavy mobile equipment maintenance and structural repairs. Positions are available in Perth Metro as well as FIFO/DIDO on various rosters including 7/7, 8/6, and 2/1.

Key Responsibilities

As a Boilermaker, your duties will include:

  • Performing structural repairs and fabrication on heavy mining and fixed plant equipment including chassis, buckets, booms, FOPS, ROPS, guards, ball mills, skips, chutes, crusher liners, conveyors, piping, structural steel and staircases access systems
  • Conducting welding using MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, Oxy-Acetylene, and MMAW to industry and OEM standards
  • Interpreting and working from technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols
  • Designing and fabricating components or modifications to meet site-specific or OEM requirements
  • Assisting with planned and unplanned maintenance tasks across various fleets including:
    • Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, Sandvik, Epiroc, Atlas Copco, Metso, 
    • Equipment: Loaders, Dozers, Dump Trucks, Excavators, Graders, Drills, Water Trucks, Road Trucks, Ball Mills, Crushers and chutes
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site safety protocols, company policies, and Australian Standards
  • Liaising with supervisors, planners, and site personnel to ensure maintenance tasks are executed efficiently and safely
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed, parts used, and defects identified
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance reliability and equipment availability

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Trade Qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator (Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent)
  • Minimum 4 years post-apprenticeship experience working on heavy mobile equipment in a mining or heavy industrial setting
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical and engineering drawings
  • Experience working with OEM diagnostic and maintenance systems is advantageous
  • High commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in both workshop and field environments
  • Valid Australian work rights (essential for full-time employment)
  • Current manual driver's licence (HR licence desirable)
  • Willingness to travel or work on FIFO/DIDO rosters as required
